Peter
Thompson
Peter
flies the much loved Bolkow Junior.
G-ATDO previously
belonged to Harold Swift at Hill Farm, Marton (Hull). Harold was,
or maybe still is, the oldest PPL in Yorkshire. |
|

James
(Fireball) Whitham
James
is one of the airfield owners and flies a great RV6 as well as a
Jodel. Known to many as a motorcycle commentator (he is still active
in the saddle too) following a brilliant career. |
|

Philip
Morley
Phil
is a new shareholder in the Maule having flown Jodels for many
years. Obviously a proper pilot knowing the virtues of tail
draggers. |
|
 Graham
(it's dodgy) Mills
Flies a Skyranger 912s
and is part of a syndicate of 5. Currently training for his group A
licence, Graham spends his working life as a vet. A true Scot,
Graham loves a wee tot and has been known to buy a round! |
|

Alex Hamilton
Alex is a share
holder in the Maule. Another Scot, he is a doctor and has been
flying for some time previously from Sherburn. Another proper pilot
who flies taildragger.

|

John Standring
John, seen here with
his daughter Adel, flies a lovely Zenair. His favourite landing
place is Pilling Sand where he takes all his lady passengers! He
treats them to fish and chips when there... what a smooth operator. |

|

Mark (the Blade)
Chambers
Mark flies the lovely
tail dragger Sonex which he built. He also plays a mean air guitar
while flying with Alan... however his sense of Rhythm is better than
his sense of direction! |
|

Dave (Coddy!) Caldwell
Currently awaiting the
latest police most wanted narrative.... watch this space for updates
and in the meantime DO NOT APPROACH THIS MAN... |
|

Marcus
(the Moth)
Seen
here with probably the youngest member of the club. Marcus is a
devout believer in planes with two sets of wings, rigging wires and
no brakes - Tiger Moths - and why not? Looking forward to a go in
one Marcus!! |
|
|
|

Alan (Biggles) Dalgetty
Alan flies anything he can get his hands on! Known locally as
Biggles The Blagger he loves nothing better than being airborne. Ex
gliding instructor and tug pilot who probably makes the best bacon
butties in Yorkshire. Now flying the Sonex!! |
|

Andy
(chick) Carter
Andy
has come to us after many years as a modeller (making planes not
catwalking.. although!) and is keen to build and fly his own proper
plane. UPDATE: Sonex built and flying beautifully! His next project?
An Isacs Fury

|

Malcolm (the banker)
Hill
Malcolm is the father of
Martin and flies a beautiful Piper Arrow. He looks after the funds
of the club and is affectionately know as the banker.

Colin (the thespian..)
Colin flies a Piper
Tripacer from Crosland and has done so for many years now.
|
|

Martin
(the Pitts) Hill
Martin
changed the Pitts for an RV7 - looks rather good!. He can be found competing throughout the year in aerobatic
competitions and spends time above Crosland Moor practicing. Martin
also flies an Arrow out of Crosland. |
